Bonner Sub-Grantee Campus Profiles

Page history last edited by Robert Hackett 3 wks ago

Introduction

All of the 75+ colleges and universities in the Bonner Foundation's national network of Bonner Scholar and Leader Programs are working to integrate Web-based tools for the purposes of enhancing their community service and civic engagement work.  Each campus is utilizing a profile on the Bonner Network Wiki to share information about their program with the Bonner Foundation and across campuses.  In addition, the Bonner Network has a blog, delicious.com social book-marking site, Bonner Video Project, YouTube channel, and several other wikis for projects like community-based research and public policy research.

In addition, the Bonner Foundation and Middlesex County College offered campuses in our network with the opportunity to apply for sub-grants to carry out a broader integration of Web-based social media tools.  Campuses were asked to develop a strategy also tied to one (or several) issues in which students serve.  The campuses will design and utilize a variety of social media tools—such as wikis, Facebook, videos and podcasts, YouTube, blogs, and more—to increase or enhance their service work.  Below are brief descriptions of each project.
